According to Article No. 2 of Decree-Law No. 288 dated October 28, 2011 amending Law No. 65 of the Housing Act, dated December 23, 1988, the persons authorized to buying a home in Cuba are Cuban citizens resident in the country, Cuban citizens who have authorized the Residence Abroad or exit permits indefinite, or foreign citizens who have permanent residence authorized in the country by the Cuban immigration authorities, and this being awarded after previous marriage requirements to be met by those authorities, as established in Decree No. 26 Regulation of the Migration Act in article No. 90 which means they can acquire permanent residence in the country the foreign spouse of a Cuban citizen with permanent residence in Cuba.
